RSU ST is more than a university

RSU ST is one of the few universities in Russia where inclusion is not an add-on, but the very foundation. We were created for those who, in the early 1990s, had no access to higher education. Over three and a half decades, we have produced thousands of graduates, developed dozens of academic programmes, and stayed true to our unwavering mission

Igor Mikhalev
Over 35 years, we have come a long way — from the bold vision of our first rector, Leon Sarkisyan, to the status of a national leader in inclusive education.
Today, as the only fully inclusive university in Russia, we develop unique methodologies and practices, scale them, and share them across the entire country. Our research in inclusive education and the advanced social technologies we pilot within these walls become shared assets of the professional community.
Yet our greatest pride has always been, and remains, our students, graduates, faculty and staff — people who prove every single day that quality education and a social mission are inseparable.

As a Paralympic athlete, I know very well that true overcoming begins where you are given a chance. RSU SotsTech is not only an educational institution, but also a true forge of winners that gives a chance to thousands of people. Here, future champions learn and win, and the inclusive environment becomes the starting point for great athletic and life achievements.
