The Russian State University of Social Technologies provides equal access to higher education for all applicants. The University creates special conditions for conducting entrance examinations, taking into account your individual health conditions.
Below is information on how the entrance examinations are conducted, what rights and technical means you can use.
Extension of time for examinations
For applicants with disabilities, the duration of the internal entrance examination is extended by 1.5 hours (by the University's decision).
Test conditions (in-person format)
If you take the exams in person within the University walls, the following is guaranteed:
- Unobstructed access: availability of ramps, handrails, widened doorways, and elevators. If there is no elevator, the classroom is located on the first floor.
- Separate classroom: tests for applicants with disabilities are held in a separate room.
- Assistant assistance: you will be provided with an assistant from the University staff. They will help you find a seat, move around, read or complete the task.
- Number of people in the classroom:
- For a written exam, the maximum number of people is 12.
- In the oral exam, there should be no more than 6 people.
- It is allowed to take the exam together with other applicants, as long as it does not cause you any difficulties.
Technical equipment
You have the right to use your own technical equipment that you need due to your individual health conditions.
Additional requirements for nosologies
Depending on your health conditions, the University staff will ensure that the following requirements are met:
Blind:
- Assignments are made in Braille, in the form of an electronic document (with special. Software) or read by an assistant.
- Written assignments are made in Braille, on a computer with special. Software or dictated to an assistant.
- Paper and writing instruments for Braille writing are provided.
Low-vision
- Individual uniform lighting of at least 300 lux is provided.
- A magnifying device is provided (you can use your own).
- Tasks are printed in enlarged font.
Deaf and hard of hearing
- Availability of sound amplification equipment (collective and individual).
- Interpreter services are provided.
Deaf-blind
- Services of a sign language interpreter are provided (in addition to the conditions for the blind and deaf).
Severe speech disorders, deaf, hard of hearing
- Entrance tests held in oral form are held in written form.
With disorders of the musculoskeletal system (OA) / absence of upper limbs
- Written tasks are performed on a computer (with a special Software) or dictated to the assistant.
- Entrance examinations conducted in writing may be conducted orally.
Note for applicants to master's programs or for creative/professional tests: the form of submission (oral/written) may be determined by the University in some cases.
Important documents
In order to create the necessary conditions for you, you must submit the following documents when applying:
- A document confirming your disability (for internal testing).
- A document confirming your limited health capabilities (for special conditions).
Please note that if you submit these documents after you have submitted your application, the University will create conditions for the tests that will be conducted after the documents are received.
