On 8 February 2018, the Russian Science Day following the 1999 Presidential Decree honoring the 275th anniversary of the Academy of Sciences was held at MGGEU.
The conference dedicated to the Russian Science Day was opened by MGGEU Rector Vagif Bayramov. In his speech, Vagif Deyrushevich highlighted the directions for the scientific development of the University.
The conference was proceeded by Maria Aleksandrovna Kovaleva, Vice-Rector for Education Work. There were two keynote presentations, namely «On the Results of the SWOT-Analysis and Prospects for the Development of MGGEU Research Activities» presented by Tatyana Ivanovna Bonkalo, Senior Lecturer, PhD in Psychology, the Acting Chief of the Department of Scientific-Research Activities and ” Disability in Terms of Urban Welfare ” awarded with RSCI grant, presented by Elmira Kamalovna Naberushkina, Senior Lecturer, PhD in Sociology.
Following the results of the year 2017, the academic staff was awarded diplomas and Сertificates of Acknowledgment for their contribution to the University science development.
The event was crowned with a song performed by Polina Rudakova, the 1st year student and the choir «Nezabudka» presented by Nadezhda Dmitrievna Samylovskaya.
