Young MSHEU scientists can apply for the Moscow Government Prize


Applications for the Moscow Government Prize for Young Scientists for 2023 have been accepted. The award is awarded for achieving outstanding results in fundamental and applied scientific research in the field of natural, technical and humanitarian sciences. In addition, it can be obtained for the development and implementation of new technologies, equipment, devices, equipment, materials and substances that contribute to improving the efficiency of activities in the real sector of the economy and the social sphere of Moscow.
“This year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Moscow Government Prize for Young scientists. During this time, more than 600 scientists from universities and scientific organizations of the capital received it for research and development useful for the city and the country. The popularity of the award remains unchanged: every year more than a thousand researchers apply for participation in the competition,” said Alexander Tverskaya, Deputy Head of the Moscow Department of Education and Science.
In 2023, 50 prizes of two million rubles each will be awarded. Participants will present projects in 22 nominations. In the field of scientific research, these are “Mathematics, Mechanics and Computer Science”, “Physics and Astronomy”, “Chemistry and Materials Sciences”, “Biology”, “Medical Sciences”, “Earth Sciences”, “Social Sciences”, “Humanities”, “Information and Communication Technologies”, “Technical and Engineering Sciences” and “Science to Megapolis”; in the field of development – “Aviation and space technology”, “Urban infrastructure”, “Biotechnology”, “Pharmaceuticals, medical equipment and materials”, “New materials and nanotechnology”, “Advanced industrial technologies”, “Transmission, storage, processing, protection of information”, “Instrumentation”, “Environmental technologies development”, “Electronics and communications” and “Energy efficiency and energy conservation”.
Researchers and developers up to and including 35 years of age, doctors of sciences – up to and including 40 years of age can take part in the competition. You can submit projects both individually and as part of a research team (no more than three people).
Applications are accepted until July 17, 2023 on the award page: https://nauka.mos.ru . The results of the competition will be announced in January 2024.
The Moscow Government Prize for Young Scientists has been awarded since 2013. During this time, more than six thousand have declared their works, and 604 young scientists have received awards. The total amount of all awards awarded is 586 million rubles. The organizers of the competition are the Government of Moscow, the Moscow Department of Education and Science, the Corporate University of Moscow Education.
